Description

The Tummy Tub eases the stress of bathing for both baby and parent. Designed to replicate the comfort of the mother’s womb, baby will naturally adopt the foetal position in the Tummy Tub, instantly feeling reassured and relaxed. It is especially soothing for colicky and premature babies. Created in Holland, the Tummy Tub has been endorsed by maternity hospitals, physicians and midwives throughout Europe.

The Tummy Tub is reassuring for parents, especially new parents. Eye contact can be maintained with baby, and as the Tummy Tub is transparent, baby can be viewed from all sides. The anti-skid base and low centre of gravity ensures that the Tummy Tub is safe, sturdy and stable and the ergonomic hand grips and lightweight quality make it easy to carry and store - perfect for new mothers.

  • The special design of the TummyTub ensures babies naturally adopt the familiar foetal position. Babies feel warm, reassured and secure
  • Baby can be immersed in water up to shoulder level and will therefore remain warmer for longer. The shape of the Tummy Tub means you need less water than a conventional baby bath
  • Suitable from birth up to 2-3 years

The tummy tub is fantastic, I would highly recommend it for any baby that doesn't like bathtime. I bath my baby on a morning and on an evening and he loves it, the only time he cries is when I take him out.

Have used the tummy tub for two children and it is the best thing for baby's they absolutely love it and the only time they get upset is when I take them out

Hmmm not convinced sorry. I can not imagine squeezing a 2 or 3 year old in this tub!!

My baby LOVED her Tummy Tub until she got too big for it (at 6 months). She enjoyed being able to prop herself up in it. (Which is also easier on the person who is bathing the baby!) And she could still kick and splash and have fun in it. (Goodness knows how a 2 year old could fit in it though...)

I have just stopped using my tummy tub my baby was seven and a half months old and 9kg, he still fits but it squashes him a bit. I think they need to change the age that they state you can use this for.

Fantastic I use mine every day for baths and regularly to wash his rear end, at 5 months old and he is a good size baby there is heaps of room left, the benefit is I can bath him anywhere and I do not have to get a back ache from this, way superior to other baby baths, hospitals should use them

The tummy tub was perfect with our son with his reflux problems as he hated to have a lie down bath!

Just a comment about age to when Tummy Tub can be used. This varies from baby to baby. Tummy Tub is designed to offer bath time enjoyment from birth up until the age of 12 months. Some children even bath in it until they are 3 years old.

Debs it's not designed for a 2-3 year old. It's for newborns up to around 6-8 months depending on how big the baby is. We got given one for our second son and it was wonderful - our older son (3years) could help out with bathing in a way he couldn't with a conventional bath. YOu use a lot less water and it's easier to pick up and empty. Because of the easy portability you can also use it in the warmest room/place in the house. No criticisms at all a much easier way to bath a tiny baby!

We've only used it in the first 3 months of our baby, and have to change to a kiddy bath as it was getting too tight for bub to bathe in. He enjoyed it while he was a newborn, but we found it hard to put him in, support him during and pick him up after. As he grew, we found it very hard to wash his bottom and he refused to sit in it as soon as he knew how to not bend his knees! He's much happier in the bigger conventional bath as he can now kicks and splashes the water. We liked and disliked this bath, but for the money, we could have saved it for something else.
