Our new website was launched in September 2009 - we hope you like the new design. We have worked hard to make your shopping experience even easier with the re-launch.
Some of the great new features we have introduced include:
* Advanced Filters – near the page number navigation buttons there is an ‘options’ box which allows you to filter or sort your results to make it easier to find products of interest. You can filter results by price or by brand or you can sort results to show products with the highest price at the top of results. Alternatively, you could select to see products with the lowest price first.
* Sub Categories – products are now summarised into useful sub-categories to help you consider a range of products that might suit your needs. Use the breadcrumb navigation at the top of the screen to move between sub-categories. Available categories are shown at the top of each category page.
* Related Products/Searches – near the bottom of products pages you will start to see some related search and product suggestions. Over time we expect these results to improve and give some quite meaningful links for you to consider.
* Extra Navigation – more options for navigation links are now available. i.e. for Bertini Muslin Wraps it now shows what other categories that product appears in, and you have the ability to click through to the category links: ‘Bath and Changing > Towels/Cloths’ or ‘Bedding > Accessories’.
Mount Maunganui based iQ Toys has been identified in the Deloitte "Fast 50" Awards 2007, as one of New Zealand's fastest growing companies. The award marks three years of strong growth for the company, which this year relocated from Cambridge to larger premises in Mount Maunganui.
Shane and Suzette Loomb started the company in 1996 as a home based business, which at the time was one of the first on-line retailers to operate in New Zealand. It is only in the last few years that the company has experienced significant growth, says Shane. "On-line retail spend has increased significantly in New Zealand to about 1% of total retail spend but still lags behind USA and Europe, where typically 8-10% of shopping is on-line.
Subsidiary company, Baby Universe, was launched in 2002 and is now widely regarded as NZ's #1 online baby store.
The NZ trend towards on-line shopping is reflected in the finalists for Deloitte's "Fast 50". Shane believes growing confidence in security of personal information provided for on-line transactions, convenience, and speedy delivery to the customer's door are key factors generally in choosing to shop on-line.
"The distinctive additional factors in the growth of iQTOYS.co.nz are personal attention to ensure customer satisfaction, and the range of products. With a choice approaching 7000 items, iQ Toys has more on offer than many conventional retail toy stores.".
